Nature Culture, Textile Sculpture Collar, Reclaim Collection

A contemporary collar handcrafted by shaping and structuring antique lace from a bridal trousseau, transformed into a work of contemporary wearable art. “Nature Culture” is part of the Reclaim collection, a series of wearable objects that invite reflection on coexistence with nature and animals and the transcendence of anthropocentrism. Through material elements such as mohair wool embroidery, thread patches, and the assembly of metal elements and crystals transformed into brooches, the relationship between nature—wildlife—and culture—artifice—is explored. And it is hoped that, slowly and persistently, nature will reclaim the space taken from it by humans, returning to a wild state, beyond human control. The steel buckle represents an attempt to hold things together—not as decoration, but as a search for balance and necessary coexistence, without domination. The collar features a removable cotton lining secured by snap buttons, designed to allow for the washing and long-term preservation of the piece. A one-of-a-kind piece by Cravattology, selected and presented from June 18 to 21, 2026, in a video exhibition in New York at MoMA, at the Moonzescope Gallery in Tribeca, and at an international auction. Dimensions: 30×35 cm. Handcrafted using vintage and upcycled materials. Slight marks and traces attest to the value and uniqueness of the creation and the artisanal craftsmanship.
